New York: Pre-K & Kindergarten Admissions

January 11, 2017 at The New School in New York.

Join Clara Hemphill, founder of InsideSchools, as we release our new book, New York City’s Best Public Pre-K and Elementary Schools. We’ll highlight some undiscovered gems and walk you through the pre-kindergarten and kindergarten application process. Clara and the InsideSchools staff will tackle these topics and more:

What’s the difference between childcare and pre-kindergarten?
What should I look for when I visit?
How do I decide between progressive vs. traditional?
What about gifted programs, charters and other options?
How and when do I apply?

A 1-hour presentation will be followed by Q & A. Children are welcome.
The event is free. The $20 ticket includes a copy of our new book: New York City’s Best Public Pre-K and Elementary Schools, 4th Edition. This essential guide–just published–is based on based on visits by the InsideSchools staff to more than 150 public schools in all five boroughs.

“The Nose” is a preposterous New Family Musical in English adapted from Nikolai Gogol’s famous story by the same name. The show features Russian themed music, laughs and lesson everybody can relate to!
“The Nose” is a story of a government worker, Kovalyov, whose position is upset when his nose leaves his face one morning and masquerades as a high-ranking official!
What a lot of nonsense!
Composer, Lyricist and Librettist – Kit Goldstein Grant
