These totes are IDEAL for carrying all your necessities. From work to shopping to crafting to the beach, this tote is completely versatile!

Since we are all about customization on this project, you can choose ANY Chalk Paint® color and ANY amount! If you want to make each word a different color that completely up to you. We will also let you glitz up your bags with a little bit of Artisan Enhancements Metallic Foil.

You have a choice of FOUR sayings. “I’m so crafty, I sweat glitter,” “Start each day with a grateful heart,” “Seas the day” or your three letter monogram! Traditionally with monograms you would do you first name, LAST NAME, middle name

Geneva: Spring Has Sprung Milonga

Join Geneva Tango for our Spring Has Sprung milonga in Geneva, with DJ Catherine. We will play traditional music and a few surprises as well. The cost is $10.00 p/p at the door, or $5.00 for students with ID.
To celebrate Spring, why not wear light up the night by wearing bright colors! We will have refreshments and welcome any tasty contribution to our table. A great musical tradition continues at Arlington High School! I would like to take this opportunity to invite you all to an evening of great fun and great music sponsored by the Arlington High School Music Dept. and the Arlington Band Boosters (ABBI). We are proud to present our annual “JAZZ CABARET“.

The Jazz Cabaret will take place at Arlington High School on Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at 7:00 PM in Cafeteria C- D. Many styles of jazz will be featured and performed by the students in our THREE jazz ensembles, the award-winning JAZZ MACHINE, JAZZ II, and JAZZ III. The Jazz Ensembles will entertain with the sounds of Big Band Swing, “Latin Jazz, Fusion, Funk, and the Blues. The setting for the Jazz Cabaret is like an evening at a jazz night club. Our waiters and waitresses will take your order for various snacks, finger foods, and beverages, which will are available for you to enjoy while you sit back at your private table, relax, and listen to some of the art form that American can truly call its own: JAZZ! All proceeds from this event directly benefit the students in the jazz ensembles and the Arlington jazz program!

This year, the Jazz Machine will feature a professional Guest Artist. Saxophonist Adam Larson, a rising star in the jazz world, will be joining the Jazz Machine on several selections. Adam is an amazing young talent and we are very excited he will be joining our students in performance this year.

Taking their name from an old Irish slip jig, fiddler Liz Knowles, uilleann piper Kieran O’Hare, and singer/bouzouki player Pat Broaders have formed a powerful, well-traveled seasoned trio.

These three have distinguished themselves over the last two decades as mainstays of the Irish music scene here and abroad, having played with Riverdance, Cherish the Ladies, Secret Garden, Anúna, The String Sisters,The New York Pops, pop-artists Don Henley, Paula Cole, Bonnie Raitt, and Josh Groban and have played some interesting venues including a rainforest in Malaysia, a bullring in Mallorca, China, and South America.

Their concert features unearthed tunes, new arrangements of great songs, homages to the musicians and bands they grew up listening to, and the signature sound of a trio of good friends playing great music together.

Felipe has trained with some of the world’s best chefs: in Brazil, Australia, Italy, and here in NYC. He was the chef de charcuterie at Gramercy Tavern and he opened the handmade pasta department at Eataly. Chautauqua: Paul Root Wolpe

Paul Root Wolpe, Ph.D. is the Asa Griggs Candler Professor of Bioethics, Raymond Schinazi Distinguished Research Professor of Jewish Bioethics, Professor of Medicine, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, and Sociology, and the Director of the Center for Ethics at Emory University. Dr. Wolpe is also the Senior Bioethicist at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

Co-Editor of the American Journal of Bioethics (AJOB), the premier scholarly journal in bioethics, and Editor-in-Chief of AJOB-Neuroscience, Dr. Wolpe sits on the editorial boards of over a dozen professional journals. He is a past President of the American Society for Bioethics and Humanities, a Fellow of the Hastings Center, and a Fellow of the College of Physicians of Philadelphia, the country’s oldest medical society. Dr. Wolpe’s work focuses on the social, religious, and ideological impact of biotechnology on the human condition. He sits on many national and international non-profit organizational boards, and consults for academic institutions and the biomedical industry.

Dr. Wolpe won the 2011 World Technology Network Award in Ethics, has recorded a TED Talk, was named one of Trust Across America’s Top 100 Thought Leaders in Trustworthy Business Behavior, and was profiled in the November, 2011 Atlantic Magazine as a “Brave Thinker of 2011.” Chosen by The Teaching Company as a “Superstar Teacher of America,” Dr. Wolpe is a frequent contributor and commentator in both the broadcast and print media, recently featured on 60 Minutes and with a personal profile in the Science Times of the New York Times.

Comedy from Tragedy: A Physical Approach with Special Guest Instructor Hilary Chaplain

Hilary Chaplain has a unique approach to Physical Comedy that combines deeply explored techniques with improvisation, creation of material, and moment to moment honesty on stage. This two hour class will look at how and why something that would normally be tragic, becomes comic. We will explore how we make that shift and to create laughter and a comical situation.

Hilary Chaplain has been touring internationally for the past 11 years with her solo show A LIFE IN HER DAY, directed by Avner Eisenberg. Awards include Arlekin Solo Puppet Festival (Grand Prize), the XXI International Festival “Valise” (Acting Award) both in Poland, and in Havana, Cuba at Aquelarre 2006 (three Awards including the Grand Prize). Hilary has performed in variety shows worldwide with her short comic numbers, most recently at the Palazzo Colombino Freiburg and the Kristallpalast Varieté, both in Germany. Hilary was an original cast member in Bill Irwin’s Largely/New York and appeared on Broadway and at the Delacorte Theatre in the Public Theatre production of The Tempest directed by George C. Wolfe. She played a featured role in Forrest Gump, and a lawyer on Law and Order Criminal Intent. Hilary has been entertaining children in NYC hospitals as “Nurse Nice” of the renowned Big Apple Circus Hospital Clown Program® (since 1987) and is a founding member of the New York Goofs, a clown ensemble.
